Os Queen foram a minha primeira obsessão musical. acho que mais do que a música propriamente dita fascinava-me a personagem de Freddie Mercury, um estrangeiro vindo da India colonial com um sotaque esquisito e uma homossexualidade latente, que exacerbou a sua diferença impondo um estilo que escandalizou muito boa gente. esse fascinio pelos "estrangeiros" que ainda hoje se mantém, talvez advenha do facto de ser filho de pais separados numa terra pequena onde o número de divórcios era inversamente proporcional ao número de homens com amantes "institucionais" e mulheres com amantes secretos... mas adiante.
O Philleas no seu Horizonte Quase Perdido, interroga-se e inquieta-se com as causas do suicidio. A ele ofereço-lhe este verdadeiro hino à vontade indómita de viver, escrita por um homem que sabia estar condenado à morte.
